Cooperation agreement between AmeliCA Open Science and the
Ecuadorian Corporation for the Development of Research and Academia (CEDIA).
AmeliCA Open Science and the Ecuadorian Corporation for the Development of Research and Academia (CEDIA) have entered into a General Cooperation Agreement for the formation of the “National Ecuador-AmeliCA Collaboration Program”, marking a significant step in the promotion and strengthening of scientific journals in Ecuador.
CEDIA is an organization, whose purpose is to stimulate, promote and coordinate the development of information technologies and telecommunications and computing networks, focused on scientific, technological, innovative and educational development in Ecuador, through of the advanced networks project.
This agreement will be valid for three years, during which initiatives to benefit Open Science will be strengthened.

Main strategic actions:
- Support for scientific journals of CEDIA members: Improvement of visibility, production and quality through the tools and resources provided by AmeliCA.
- Strengthen research capacity and adoption of Open Science practices: Training and professionalization of researchers and CEDIA members.
- Scientific production report: Preparation and publication of a report on scientific production in Ecuador.
- Support various Open Science strategies carried out by CEDIA: Repositories, Open Data, Open Science Policies, Diamond Open Access Scientific Journals, Citizen Science, Open Books, Open Software, among other branches of Open Science.
Through the adoption of Open Science practices and the strengthening of research capacity, this collaboration promises to boost scientific and academic development in Ecuador, benefiting the entire research community.
