Since 2016, it also provides editorial workflow technology and XML JATS generation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Currently, the Redalyc collection holds more than 1.500 diamond OA journals with about 800.000 full-text articles available to download. More than a half of those journals use the XML JATS services to have XML, but also to generate PDF, HTML, ePUB articles\u2019 formats. Such services and the following ones have been provided by Redalyc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-12435\" src=\"https:\/\/amelica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/architecture_english-1-1024x621.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"485\" srcset=\"https:\/\/amelica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/architecture_english-1-1024x621.png 1024w, https:\/\/amelica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/architecture_english-1-300x182.png 300w, https:\/\/amelica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/architecture_english-1-768x466.png 768w, https:\/\/amelica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/architecture_english-1.png 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">AmeliCA, on the other hand, has been working in collaboration with CLACSO, UNESCO, and dozens of universities to preserve the non-commercial model of communication of science that prevails in the Latin American region. Now, AmeliCA is working in a South \u2013 South collaboration with some countries of Africa in order to strengthen this emergent approach in the continent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Currently, aware of exclusionary context that has been growing as a result of the establishment of the APC business model worldwide as move to Open Access, it is crucial to coordinate efforts to preserve and consolidate the non-commercial approach so that <strong><em>science as a common and global public good has an opportunity to thrive.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">That is why Redalyc and AmeliCA announces the creation of <strong><em>Workspace for Diamond OA (WorkspaceDOA)<\/em><\/strong>, a collective effort to support Diamond Open Access journals worldwide. From strong, consolidated, experienced and skilful Diamond OA journals to isolated and developing efforts will be benefited from this. A coordinated project that will integrate the current Redalyc and AmeliCA services and additional ones such as digital preservation, PID and more customized tracking of journals according to their needs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The following are the strategies being address by WorkspaceDOA:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
